THE FASTEST HELMET EVER

With the Transsonic and Subsonic, AGU has launched two new helmets that can be counted among the fastest helmets in the professional peloton, according to wind tunnel tests. The new helmets are fully geared towards speed and have been developed in close collaboration with Eindhoven University of Technology. Together, AGU and TU/Eindhoven have reinvented helmet aerodynamics. Airflow goes through, over and along with the helmet from various angles and in different positions and different speeds, which have all been measured. These tests prove that the Transsonic is one of the fastest helmets on the market. The new model made its debut at the Tokyo Games road race with professional cyclist Yoeri Havik of BEAT Cycling. The Transsonic and Subsonic helmets are now available for everyone.

FAST & SAFE

The Transsonic and Subsonic have been developed from the ground up by AGU to be as fast as possible, without compromising on safety. The helmets are lightweight and have the integrated MIPS system. MIPS stands for Multi-directional Impact Protection System and has been developed to prevent brain damage as a result of a fall. The Transsonic is an ultra-fast helmet. The Subsonic also has optimal ventilation, for example for extremely hot conditions.

Ultrafast Helmets

The new helmets from AGU are aimed at cyclists who are looking for the perfect balance between aerodynamics, weight, and ventilation. The search for optimal airflow has been the key to success, according to Bert Blocken, professor and Scientific Director of the wind tunnel at Eindhoven University of Technology: “The goal is always to guide the wind over and through the helmet with as little resistance as possible. We've not only looked at wind resistance at the front of the helmet but also how the air flows through the helmet and especially how it exits the helmet. You are looking for a way to minimize the low pressure behind the helmet, which would cause drag. We have succeeded in this endeavor and AGU has thus reached a new milestone with these helmets.”

ARE THESE FOR ME AS WELL?

Not everyone rides in a pro-peloton or participates in the Olympics. But are you someone who will do anything to get the most out of yourself and your ride? Squeeze every ounce of speed from your perforamnce? Someone aching to pass your mates in sprints, conquer that KOM that you have been braking your back over for too long a time, or do you want the best chance of shining in a real race, then these helmets will help you that bit more. And besides, if you can do it faster, why choose something slower?

Sit even deeper, feel the flow, feel the speed and enjoy!
