Cold wind on your chest on a descent while your back is still warm from the climb: that's what the agu Essential Wind Body for women is made for. It's a sleeveless wind layer with a women's fit for road and mountain bikers, worn over your jersey and taken off as soon as it warms up.
Runs small. The vest is cut close to a woman's body in the riding position. That keeps the fabric from flapping, but it also means it only fits over a jersey or thin base layer, not over a sweater or jacket. If you're between two sizes, choose the larger one.
Windproof front: headwind doesn't chill your chest and stomach.
Ventilated back: excess heat can escape, so you stay dry on the inside.
Water-repellent fabric: handles a short shower and road spray, but isn't waterproof.
Two-way zipper: opens from the bottom to reach your jersey pockets. The zipper doesn't slide open on its own.
Reflective details for better visibility.
Rolls into its own back pocket, small enough for your jersey pocket.
On its own it won't keep you warm: the vest has no insulation. In the cold, combine it with a long-sleeve or thermal jersey underneath.
